Larsson vs. Arvidsson
The Swedish flag flies high in the wind during Friday's first semifinal of Collector Swedish Open. Since 1983, there has not been two Swedes in the semifinals of a WTA tournament at the same time.

Our two home hopes, Johanna Larsson and Sofia Arvidsson, meet in a prestige fight Friday at 12:00 on center court. A finalist in the Collector Swedish Open is thus already in advance secured for a Suede.
The peer meetings leading Sofia with scarce 4-3.

- It's always special when you know someone you meet well. I have not done it so many times, says Sofia about the upcoming match.

- It is positive for the Swedish women's tennis and it's nice that we are two who share the expectations now, she continues.

- Hopefully, it will be inspiring for younger girls, she adds.

In the other semifinal meet Hercogs Polona, Slovenia and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, Czech Republic. They have met twice previously in their careers and it says 2-0 to Hercogs in peer meetings. Most recently they met in February in Monterrey, and then Hercogs won with 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-2, which shows that it likely will be a close battle Friday afternoon.
