
First wild card to Swedish teenager

Ellen Allgurin has received the first wild card to Collector Swedish Open in Bastad. She is Sweden’s best junior and has already proved herself against the girls on the WTA-tour.
This will be her third appearance in the tournament. In her debut in 2009 she won her opening match against Ksenia Palkina.
- It’s a privalige to be able to offer Ellen a great opportunity to fight against the pro´s on the WTA-tour. She does a serious and proffesseional commitment on her tennis. Right now she is number 32 on the junior world ranking. I think she can win a Grand Slam for juniors next year if she continues to work hard and develops her game, says tournament director Nina Wennerström.
Ellen Allgurin is coached by her uncle Rickard Allgurin together with Thomas Högstedt who also coaches Wimbledon finalist Maria Sharapova.
