In competition with 41 ATP tournaments in 32 countries on six continents, the ATP players have again voted Swedish Open in Bastad to the best ATP 250 tournament in 2009.

- The 2009 tournament was the best over the ten years we have organised the event. Eight years back-to-back might make people wonder if the voting is correct when we get this prestigious award over and over again. The players are voting for the best organisation and where they feel most at home. We are obviously as happy as always, says Tournament Director Thomas Wallén.

- The players are the backbone of the event and when they feel comfortable they offer tennis of absolute world class to our spectators. The award gives us valuable PR in the locker rooms around the World and renewed spirits to surpass the success of last year, says Event Manager Christer Hult.
